Abbey Records was established on the Internet in 1998 as one of the very first independent online ecommerce music dealers. Abbey Records was established as a dealer in used CDs and vinyl records. As the business progressed it became clear that there was a need for an independent dealer who could supply brand new and interesting CDs, vinyl records, DVD and video etc. Hence, Abbey Music was born two years later in the year 2000.
